HDAC01
converts various digital music sources, such as CD, into the
analog signal. The digital music contents should keep increasing,
such as through Internet shops, and HDAC01 can handle all of
those, based on its high spec of 192kHz/24bit.
Conventional D/A converters are designed caring only about
f-curve, but not about phase characteristics. However, HDAC01 is
designed to control this phase characteristics. Many of music
lovers were disappointed by the sound quality of CD, and the
limited bandwidth of up to 22kHz was mainly blamed for this. But
recent research revealed that the phase delay in high frequency
range is one of the major reasons of so called “digital taste”
of sound.
HDAC01 up-samples all the input signals into 192kHz/24bit, and
then apply FIR filter to cut the super high frequency range and
prevent the phase delay in the audio high frequency range.
HDAC01 also has three modes of operation, to provide
multiple phase characteristics.
Mode 1 : Cancels the phase shift in high frequency range of
digital sources,
such as CD.
Mode 2 : Corrects also the phase delay of low frequency
range.
Mode 3 : Improves phase delay in mid- to high frequency
range. It is well
known that lot of high-end speakers have this
characteristics.
By controlling phase characteristics, HDAC01 will surprise you
when you experience how the digital source can be reproduced as
fresh and natural sound. |
